Peter Riegler<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

„Teaching is also a learning process for me: I learn what makes the content I teach difficult. I learn what constitutes expertise in my field, and I learn to make this explicit. I discover new perspectives on familiar topics through my students. For me, teaching has evolved from an activity in front of students to an activity with students.“<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Peter Riegler is a Professor of Mathematics and\nPhysics at the Faculty of Computer Science and an educational researcher at\nOstfalia University of Applied Sciences, a position he has held since 2002.\nSince 2021, he has served as the head of the Bavarian Center for Innovative\nTeaching (BayZiel). <\/p>\n\n\n\n

He earned his M.Sc. in Physics from the University of\nNew Mexico, USA, in 1993, and his Ph.D. from Julius Maximilian University\nW\u00fcrzburg, Germany, in 1997.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

His key research and practice areas in education\ninclude effective teaching, the implementation of innovations and technologies\nin education, addressing student misconceptions in mathematics and computer\nscience, formative assessments, and the development and maintenance of\ntechnologies that support the continuous use of formative assessments.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n

Haiko von Rebenstock<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

\u201cMathematics is an important tool and -even more so- basis of engineering work in Domino\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Haiko von Rebenstock joined Domino Printing Sciences\nPLC \u2013 which is part of Brother Industries Limited \u2013 in 2014 and is working as\nDirector Architecture. Domino develops, manufactures and sells industrial\nprinting systems for printing on Fast Moving Consumer Goods and is recognized\nas one of the market leading companies providing customized solutions to bring\nserialized data onto products and packaging worldwide. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

In his role Haiko von Rebenstock defines the product\narchitecture in hardware and software to support future business requirements\nacross the product range. Before 2020 he was worldwide responsible for the\nLaser product line from Domino as Product Director.  <\/p>\n\n\n\n

In both positions he works very closely with R&D\nand takes part in innovation processes. In all product aspects from initial\nidea over development and business planning to production and support math is\nan important tool and \u2013 even more so \u2013 basis of engineering work in Domino\nwhich he is exposed to in his daily work. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Mr. von Rebenstock learned the necessary scientific\nbackground in Hannover, Germany and got his diploma in physics at the Leibniz\nUniversity Hannover. <\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n

Annoesjka Cabo<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

„Wherever education is provided, it is important to keep innovating this education. Students and their interests and passions are constantly changing as is the world around us, and we have to continue to evolve with them.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Annoesjka Cabo is a Professor in Statistics for\nInnovation in Education<\/p>\n\n\n\n

She studied Mathematics at the University of\nAmsterdam, did research for her PhD at the CWI in Stochastic Geometry applied\nto Image Analysis and obtained her degree from TU Delft. Around the same time,\nshe successfully completed her training as a professional violinist.\nSubsequently she played in the Rotterdam Philharmonic Orchestra and was active\nin chamber music and as a violin pedagogue.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Since July 2021, Annoesjka Cabo is the Director of Education of the Faculty of EEMCS at TU Delft and since 2019 she is the Academic Director of the TU Delft\u00a0Teaching Academy<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Annoesjka Cabo\u2019s is involved in research on the effectiveness of innovations in higher mathematics education. An example she will touch upon in her keynote address is \u00a0enhancing student engagement in online learning environments.<\/em><\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n
