The centre of our project is the escaperoom game. With it, we want to combine the central contents of the lecture with the identified learning objectives in a playful form. Consequently, the biggest challenge is to balance pedagogical goals against game fun so that neither of these elements come off short. Meaning: we don’t want a game that is fun but doesn’t help students advance in their learning goals, nor do we want a game that’s no fun to the students.
