Moderated and free breakout sessions gave the symposium participants the opportunity after each lecture to discuss the topic in depth and to come up with new suggestions and ideas for their practice. These sessions were more interactive than the main event and thus also offered participants the opportunity to get to know each other better in the smaller groups. The participants were posed with the following five questions for these sessions, the answers to which are presented here in excerpts:
Brief introduction with name and institution
Which aspect of the presentation impressed you?
Where do you see a connection to your practice/research?
Which topic do you feel you disagree with?
What surprised you?
„Eureka moments“
Challenges in practice
The framework conditions of school social work were criticised and mention made of the problem of incapacity to act. There’s a lack of equipment for financial reasons.
